Individual, Couple and Group Opportunities
I don't know if you have had that best friend who encouraged, loved, promoted and made you better. I was blessed with Cathie, my best friend who always did that for me. For years she asked me to "make this happen". I never did it. Cathie passed away in October. I decided it was time...in honor of her and her beautiful life.
I believe we often walk away from situations because relationships are hard. We give up. And sometimes we should. But often, we need to be reminded that difficutlies are just opportunities to get stronger. Honest sharing with others and a desire for positive change can often make way for improved relationships and a better life.
Just like the good ole days...a listening ear and supportive service available to anyone who desires positive change. We problem solve, seek assistance, or just work thru the situation to find a better way. Ultimately, TRB Consulting is an alternative to being stuck and unhappy. We seek joy and peace for you, and always believe there is a better way.
Services are for everyone. Adolescents looking to work thru frustrations or problems. Young Adults who are navigating college or the new challenges of work life. Adults who need support and someone to help manage their daily schedules and obstacles. Families who want to love better or resolve conflict. All are welcome.
Relationships are hard. We sometimes convince ourselves that starting over is the best alternative. But for those who want to make it work, we work to make it better. If you are in a relationship that proves difficult to you, you can make it better. It is work. But so worth it.
Parenting challenges are brutal. We work on those issues too.
This service comes in two formats. Executive coaching offers professionals an avenue of success that simplifies their daily goals. TRB also offers support and leadership in building a strong work place environment. Simple steps, long lasting results and true signs of success. The positive impact of working together proves priceless in today's challenging small businesses.
Life is overwhelming and I am barely hanging on. I don't have the energy or desire to make a change. I am not even sure where to start. I feel unloved and no one takes the time to show they care.
Some days I might even describe it as miserable.
I am doing ok, but I am going thru the motions. My work, my relationships, my overall routine are not what I would want them to be. Maybe I am just in a rut and need a refresh or a better perspective. But I definitely want to find more meaning and a better way. I want more out of life.
I like honesty. I don't want someone just to listen, I want them to give me honest feedback on how I come across, how I can be better and how I can find what I am looking for. Maybe I have not accepted my weaknesses and therefore I have not worked on me. I want to be a better me, even if the truth hurts, I need to know.
I grew up in a small, rural town in Ohio. It was everything you would want it to be. Living in the country with my parents, five siblings, wonderful friends and crazy neighbors made each day lots of fun. I was somewhat of a tomboy, mostly enjoying the kickball, basketball and football games in the yards with all the boys. I treasure the memories and remember wanting to freeze time so they would never end. That never worked, so I went on to college to be a teacher. I so admire teachers and loved the way they loved me. During college I realized I probably did not have the patience to be a good one, so I chose a communicatons / business management and planned to move to Colorado once I finished. But when offered a job in Ohio, I realized God had a different plan.
After graduating, I stayed local and worked as a substance abuse/student assistance counselor in the middle and high schools.
I was 22 by now and went to visit my best friend in Raleigh NC for spring break. Cathie had encouraged me to get some "ideas " from a substance abuse program similar to the one I worked with in Ohio. Upon meeting with the director, he offered me a job, much like my position in Bowling Green. I quickly said "oh I don't live here", his response "oh I know, but you will". I then explained that I was on contract until July and he quickly jumped in "we will wait for you". And so they did.
Once I moved to Raleigh, I worked in schools, hospitals, residential treatment centers, and with local psychologists. Lots of group sessions with struggling kids and hurting families. I worked as the Director of Admissions, Director of Marketing and ended up starting my own business shortly after I got married and started a family with my husband Mike. I started doing medical billing so I could work from home and did administrative work and business consulting with local businesses. In 2010 I was asked to take a position in Human Resource as a Hiring Coordinator with a local IT company. They later asked me to be their Sales Director, so that was fun as well. Since our kids were so active in sports and activities, I went back to working consulting jobs, and set up TRB Consulting, Inc. One of my contracts was with a realtor, who encouraged me to get my real estate license in 2019, and so I did.
Clearly I love to work and I love to be with people.
Not sure I ever found a job that I didn't like. I have been blessed.
Life has slowed down some. After almost 32 years of marriage with my husband Mike, we are blessed with four children, (five counting our son in law) and a grandson. They all bring us great joy. Mike had mandatory retirement much earlier than most, so he is a young old man who gives freely of his time and talent and always takes care of his family. Mike is a true servant and spends his time volunteering in the community with the local church food pantry and works at the high school as the president of the school booster program. In his spare time, he takes care of our grandson...and all of us.
For now, I continue helping friends and family buy and sell their homes. It is such a big decision with so many moving parts, I can't help but love to problem solve with them. That may be what I enjoy most...problem solving. As noted in my descriptions, I love to lovingly encourage and bring about change. I truly believe the saying that says "if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you".
TRUTH IS ...
I too have many changes to make in my life and I find "my happy" in motivating and supporting others to do the same. So many times we get stuck and remain in a place that is not good for us. I hope you have the opportunity to make the changes you need to find peace and the happy you so deserve. If I can help, just let me know.

I welcome your thoughts! Reach out anytime!
There are groups of "beginning teachers" in every school in our county. They meet every month and are always looking for a little "perk". That perk can be refreshments for the meeting and a 10 min presentation on who you are and what you offer. Teachers are thrilled to hear from mortgage folks, insurance owners, local restaurants and love meeting you. It matters. There could be 30 people who quickly become new customers!
Such an easy way to increase exposure and get to know prospective clients!
It seems clear that getting "extra kudos" for a first year teacher is a pretty big deal. I remember my son explaining his experience and how much the little things mattered. Big Corporations seem to have "perks" that don't always show up for a new teacher. We ask that you send written support and remember them on holidays and their birthday with a card. Maybe once in awhile send them a surprise gift card or breakfast on a special day. A great way to support quietly and know that you are making someone's day.
Simply because we know that giving is a way to find purpose. You do it for the teacher, but it is also 4U. Everyone wins.
As my life has changed, the ways in which I can help have changed too.
I assume you are similar.
If we work together, we can make things happen.
Pick one that works for you!
Many years ago, I started a program at our local middle school called "GIVE ME FIVE". As a group of PSTA moms and dads, we had an awareness that parents had very different lives and resources. Different gifts and different goals, but deep down we think everyone wants to help...to be of service. GIVE ME FIVE recognized the differences, with a full awareness that no one can do it alone, so we need everyone.
Back then, it was:
Give me $5
Give me 5 ideas.
Give me 5 days a year.
Give me 5 school supplies.
Give me ways you can help.
Today, I am in a similar place. I need your help. I My life has changed, so the ways in which I can help have changed. I assume you are similar.
As a result, we have lots of ways that YOU can help. Little ways, big ways...they all help. And TOGETHER, we can make big things happen.
Please look at the needs ...and help if you can!!
